Audio Tour

The audio tour guides you through the grounds, gardens and exhibitions at Balmoral.

This fascinating tour has been updated for this season and highlights the story of Balmora and the workings of the Estate. The tour is available in English with Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish translations.

If you purchase your tickets in advance of your booking this tour is complimentary.   However if you purchase your tickets on the day there is a £5.00 charge per handset.

Handsets are available from the Admissions Desk at the Main Gates and at the end of the tour they must be handed in to the Mews Gift Shop.

The tour offers an insight into the real workings of the Estate and tells the stories of the Castle's most famous residents and visitors.

The tour brings to life such characters as Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and the Tsar of Russia but also, to a lesser extent staff from the Estate and Royal Household.
