The grounds of Balmoral Castle are currently closed, however our gift shop and terrace cafe at the main gates will be open daily from 1000 until 1600. The walk to Prince Albert's Pyramid is available.

The grounds of Balmoral Castle are currently closed to the public, however our gift shop and terrace cafe at the main gates will be open daily from 1000 until 1600.

September

The grounds of Balmoral Castle are currently closed to the public and will open again in October.

However, the gift shop and terrace café at the main gates will be open daily from 1000 to 1600.

October

The grounds, gift shop and restaurant will be open to the public from 1000 until 1600 on certain dates during October 2026.

You will be able to enjoy a gentle walks around the grounds and have an opportunity to visit the Mews Gift Shop and the Restaurant.

We also have our Artisan Market taking place on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October.    Wander through the stalls brimming with exquisite food, crafts, and gifts. Enjoy a day of shopping and delight in the creativity of talented artisans. Entry for the Artisan Market is free – however there are special parking arrangements available for this event, and you can purchase your ticket in advance through the ticket portal.

The grounds and gardens at Balmoral Castle make for the perfect dog walking; we kindly request that dogs are kept on a lead during your adventures and that you leave the gardens clean for other visitors to enjoy.

Parking

General parking is available in the car parks, next to the A93 at Crathie.  There is a charge of £5, which can be paid by cash or card at the machines.

Disabled parking is offered within the grounds of the estate to Blue Badge Holders upon request.  Please drive up to the main gates and speak to the staff on duty so they can give you directions.
