The grounds, gardens, restaurant and exhibitions at Balmoral are currently closed to the Public. However our Main Gate Gift Shop and Terrace Cafe will be open daily from 1000 until 1600 during August and September.

The grounds, gardens, restaurant and exhibitions at Balmoral are currently closed to the Public. However our Main Gate Gift Shop and Terrace Cafe will be open daily from 1000 until 1600 during August and September.

2026 Autumn Opening

Balmoral Castle will again welcome visitors to the grounds, gardens, restaurant and exhibitions from Tuesday 29 September until Sunday 1 November.

General admission will include access to the Castle Ballroom and tickets will be available to purchase online from early September

You will be able to enjoy some of the walks around the grounds and have an opportunity to visit the Mews Gift Shop and the Restaurant.

The grounds and gardens at Balmoral Castle make for the perfect dog walk; we kindly request that dogs are kept on a lead during your adventures and that you leave the gardens clean for other visitors to enjoy.

Admission charge is £10 for adults

Parking

General parking is available in the car parks, next to the A93 at Crathie.  There is a charge of £6, which can be paid by cash or card at the machines.

Disabled parking is offered within the grounds of the estate to Blue Badge Holders upon request.  Please drive up to the main gates and speak to the staff on duty so they can assist.

Overnight parking for motor homes is also available in designated spaces and the cost is £12 per vehicle. Payment can be made by by cash or card at the machines.
