Connachat Cottage is situated about three miles west of the Castle, near the middle of the Balmoral Beat of the River Dee. It faces South in a peaceful setting, on the edge of the Ballochbuie Forest. Access is by the public road to Balmoral and thereafter by the private Estate road.

Bookings at Connachat Cottage run on a Sunday to Sunday basis. The cottage is available throughout the year, with the exception of the weeks during The Royal Visit.

Connachat Cottage is a stone built cottage, which can sleep six people in comfort and consists of:-

Ground floor:-
Lounge with log burner and a double sofa bed
Dining kitchen (electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher)
Dining room
Twin bedroom
Shower room with WC

First floor:-
Two double bedrooms on the first floor
Family bathroom with shower above the bath

Outside:-
Rod room (freezer and washing machine)
Bathroom (WC and wash hand basin)

Services

The property is connected to mains electricity and is heated by electric central heating together with a log burner in the lounge and an open fire in the dining room. Fuel for the fires is provided by the Estate.

There is a television, DVD player and Freesat in the lounge.

Maximum occupancy

The maximum occupancy for Connachat Cottage is eight guests - this requires two people to sleep on the double sofa bed in the lounge.
