We are seeking a reliable and hardworking kitchen porter to join our team in the restaurant. The role is crucial in ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen and front of house operations.

Job Title: Kitchen Porter

Department: Visitor Enterprises

Location: Balmoral, Ballater, Aberdeenshire, AB35 5TB

Reporting to: Visitor Enterprise Manager, Operations Manager, F&B Manager & Head Chef

Start date: With immediate effect

Balmoral Castle and Estate is the highland home of the His Majesty King Charles III and has been privately owned by the Royal Family since 1848. In the rural highland setting of Royal Deeside, Balmoral is a widely recognised destination, welcoming a high influx of national and international visitors all year round.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dishwashing area

  • Assist with kitchen cleanliness, including sweeping and mopping floors

  • Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations

  • Support kitchen staff as needed, including basic food preparation tasks

  • Work collaboratively with team members or in various roles during busy periods if needed

  • Comply with Balmoral Castle security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
