Visitor Enterprise Assistant

We are seeking an adaptable and enthusiastic visitor enterprise assistant to be flexible to work in the different VE departments such as the Gift Shop, Exhibitions, Gate and Restaurant.

Job Title: Visitor Enterprise Assistant

Department: Visitor Enterprises

Location: Balmoral, Ballater, Aberdeenshire, AB35 5TB

Reporting to: Visitor Enterprise Manager, Operations Manager, VE Office Manager,
F&B & Events Manager and Gift Shop Manager 

Start date: Early 2025

Balmoral Castle and Estate is the highland home of the His Majesty King Charles III and has been privately owned by the Royal Family since 1848. In the rural highland setting of Royal Deeside, Balmoral is a widely recognised destination, welcoming a high influx of national and international visitors all year round.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors warmly and provide a welcoming experience

  • Handle cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately

  • Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are upheld at all times

  • Complete opening and closing procedures as required

  • Knowledge of products and stock we sell in all departments

  • Work collaboratively with team members or in various roles during busy periods if needed

  • Comply with Balmoral Castle security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic, approachable and professional demeanour

  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings

  • Flexibility to work in the different departments of Visitor Enterprise, this may include the Gift Shop, Gate, Exhibitions and Restaurant
