The grounds, gift shop and restaurant at Balmoral are open to the public on certain days over the autumn and winter months. THERE IS NO NEED TO BUY TICKETS AS ADMISSION IS FREE.

Explore the gardens, admire the castle, or immerse yourself in the estate’s natural beauty, and discover the timeless charm of Balmoral. Open from 1000 until 1600 on certain dates during the autumn and winter months.

October 2025 until January 2026

The grounds, gift shop and restaurant will be open to the public from 1000 until 1600 on certain dates during the autumn and winter months. Check our calendar below for details - you can scroll through and view information for each month.

Please note that there is no charge for admission and you will be able to enjoy a gentle walks around the grounds as well as an opportunity to visit the Mews Gift Shop and the Restaurant.

The grounds and gardens at Balmoral Castle make for the perfect dog walking; we kindly request that dogs are kept on a lead during your adventures and that you leave the gardens clean for other visitors to enjoy.

Parking

General parking is available in the car parks, next to the A93 at Crathie.  There is a charge of £5, which can be paid by cash or card at the machines.

Disabled parking is offered within the grounds of the estate to Blue Badge Holders upon request.  Please drive up to the main gates and speak to the staff on duty so they can assist.

Artisan Market Parking

We also have our Artisan Market taking place on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October.    Wander through the stalls brimming with exquisite food, crafts, and gifts. Enjoy a day of shopping and delight in the creativity of talented artisans.

Entry for the Artisan Market is free – however there are special parking arrangements available for this event and you can purchase your ticket in advance through the ticket portal.

Coach Parking

Coach parking is available is available next to the Estates Office and tickets should be purchased in advance of your visit.

The charge is £50 per coach and you can make your purchase through the online ticket portal.
