Red Squirrel Decoration

This hungry squirrel decoration have been lovingly handmade for Balmoral using traditional Indian Zardozi techniques. ‘Zar’ meaning gold, and ‘dozi’ meaning embroidery, this method is one of the oldest forms of hand embroidery; used for centuries to embellish royal finery, it can be widely seen today in use on the military dress uniform of royal regiments. These luxurious decorations feature opulent velvet, shimmering gold zari embroidery and delicate bead work, and show the incredible skill and timeless historical charm of this ancient technique.
